December 12, South Sichuan Intercity Railway Zigong-Yibin section in Sichuan Yibin Lingang Yangtze River Rail Bridge north bridge officially started, and expect to be completed and opened to traffic in 2022. South Sichuan Intercity Railway has attracted the attention of Yibin citizens. The railway is a high-speed passenger rail line linking the four core cities of Neijiang, Zigong, Luzhou, and Yibin in southern Sichuan. The railway is in shape of reverse Y which extends to Yibin, and Luzhou.
