The first railway of Kenya since a century will open to the public. It is constructed by China Railway Construction which is under control of China Road and Bridge Company. Mombasa to Nairobi railway will trial-open to public on 31th May. Mombasa to Nairobi railway connects Nairobi, the capital of Kenya with Mombasa harbor, the first grand harbor of East Africa. It is 480km long and the passenger transport speed is 120km/h and the freight transport speed is 80km/h.
