Intercity railway of south Sichuan is one of rapid passenger transit channels of cities in south Sichuan which covers 18 million people, and is also an important part of intercity railway network of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone. It is a main channel which connects south Sichuan with Chengdu, Chongqing, and leads to Guiyang and Kunming. The completion of this railway will be of great importance in in promoting economic cooperation of city and district and forming regional traffic integration.
