In June 2022, the wind guide barrier was installed on the control project of the East Ring Road of Chongqing Railway Hub - Mingyuexia Yangtze River Bridge, which is another extra-large bridge after the installation of wind guide barriers on Nanpanjiang Super Bridge, Beipanjiang Super Bridge, Daning River Super Bridge, Zangmu Super Bridge , and Yuanjiang Bridge.
The East Ring Line of Chongqing Railway Hub connects the important passenger and freight comprehensive transportation hubs in the main city in series. Mingyuexia Yangtze River Bridge is the first vase-shaped steel truss girder railway cable-stayed bridge with high and low towers in China. The bridge spans the bend of the Yangtze River Gorge, with a maximum tower height of 203m. The lower layer is a passenger and freight co-linear railway of the East Ring Line with a speed of 160km per hour, and the upper layer is a reserved high-speed railway with a speed of 250km per hour. The maximum wind speed of the upper deck is over 30m/s. After the installation is completed, it will provide a strong guarantee for the safe operation of trains on the upper deck at full speed in a strong wind environment.
The wind guide barrier is a patented windproof product for railway bridges jointly developed by China Railway Eryuan Company and its affiliated Tietuo Company and Chengdu Alga Company(Railway Bridge Wind-guide Barrier ZL 2013 1 0664741.5). It is mainly composed of wind guide blades, anchors and connectors. The wind-shielding surface of a single wind-guiding blade is fan-shaped with wind-guiding angles, ventilation holes, etc. Both the wind-shielding surface and the wind-guiding angle form a certain angle with the longitudinal direction of the bridge. The combined effect of "wind blocking" + "wind guiding" greatly reduces the wind load acting on the train and ensures the safe operation of the train at high speed. At the same time, the wind guide effect of the wind guide barrier reduces the wind load directly acting on the wind guide barrier, thereby reducing the load transferred from the wind guide barrier to the beam body in a strong wind environment. In installation, a single wind guide blade is installed vertically, and only 2 to 4 workers can operate it safely, without hoisting and reducing mechanical investment.
After the installation is completed, the wind guide barriers stand upright and neatly arranged, which are in harmony with the overall structure and landscape of the bridge; at the same time, they play the role of bridge guardrails and ensure the safety of operators. In addition, the unique hollow structure of the wind guide barrier provides passengers on the train with a view of the scenery outside the window.
