On the afternoon of August 26, the construction of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, a key project of the National “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”, made significant progress. The Chengya section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway completed the whole track laying and is expected to be opened to traffic at the end of November. The Chengya section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway is located at the eastern end of the whole line. It is about 41 kilometers long. It is connected from the Chaoyang Lake Station of Chengpu Railway. It is built with two stations, Mingshan and Ya'an. The design speed is 160 km/h. After the completion of this section, Ya'an will end the situation of no railway.
