Alga was set up in 1942, Giudeppe Marioni & Piero Noli, the inventors of pre-stressed technology, proved the feasibility to use wire with high-tensile strength as pre-stressed unit for prefabricated products by test. Two years later, BIARMATO was set up. At the year of 1956, BIARMATO & PREBETON CAVI were incorporated, the later one was the pioneer and the industry leader of Italy damping technology; PRECO integrated thirty years’ experience of highway buildings and bridges, and developed damping system independently and applied it into all public engineering areas.
ALGA has more than seventy years’ experience at engineering area, and its main products including Bridge Bearings, Joint Expansions, Dampers and Anti-seismic Devices, etc. At present, Agostino Marioni, the Chairman of Alga, is the Chairman of European Building Bearing and Anti-seismic Device(CEN-TC 167) Standard Technology Committee, and at the same time, he is one of the draftsmen of EN1337 European Standard. The design, production and installation of ALGA products is according to EN standards and ISO9001, and also got the IGQ certificate.
Alga has its one laboratory that can do static, dynamic, wear and seismic simulant tests. In static test, vertical bearing capacity t has reached to 5,000t, horizontal bearing capacity is 12,000t and MTS devices used on dynamic test can output 16,000Kkn sine incentive load.
All the engineering practical experiences and high-quality staffs have determined it is one of the leading companies in the building and bridge seismic absorption and isolation devices with advanced technology in Europe.
